Hi! This is me. The face behind and owner of LYD. Photography, a growing business of which I am very proud. Thank you for being here!

 

I would say I'm artistic, curious, a great multitasker, someone who loves to read, dance and most of all: connect with people. I graduated from Leiden University studying child development and parenting. I'm currently working within the Salvation Army as a behavioural analyst/scientist. Something completely different than what you'd expect to read on a photographer's website! I'm grateful to be able to combine this with my passion for photography.

 

I started photography when I was 13 years old, spending all my savings to buy my very own camera. This grew into an elaborate hobby as it is now my own business and a part-time job.

 

This work found me. I began for my own leisure with portraits, family shoots and friend groups and before I knew it, I was shooting at four weddings over a period of two months. I've had the privilege of meeting so many people and capturing their most intimate moments. It has been a rewarding journey so far. I've had amazing opportunities to grow as a self-made young professional photographer and am looking forward to all that is ahead!
